What a Verachek verdict is, and what it is not.
Screening tool, not legal advice
Verachek compares the substance information you provide against a curated knowledge base of EU chemical regulations and returns an automated screening verdict. That verdict is an aid to your own assessment. It is not legal advice, a legal opinion, a certification, a laboratory test result or a guarantee that a product complies with any law. Nothing on this website or in a report creates an adviser–client relationship.
You remain the duty-holder
Obligations under REACH, RoHS, the POPs Regulation, the Battery Regulation and the other frameworks screened rest with the manufacturer, importer, distributor or other actor placing products on the market. Verachek does not assume those obligations and cannot discharge them for you.
Limits of the data
A verdict is only as good as the information it rests on. Verachek screens what you declare or what can be extracted from the Safety Data Sheet you upload; it cannot detect substances that are absent from that information. Regulatory lists change; each report states the knowledge-base version and "as of" date used. Where data is incomplete or ambiguous the service flags rather than guesses, and RED verdicts are reviewed by a compliance engineer, but errors remain possible.
Scope
The launch scope is the EU/EEA and the thirteen lists described on the Regulations page. No verdict implies compliance with any other jurisdiction or framework.
Professional advice
Before acting on a verdict for a regulatory, contractual or commercial decision, obtain advice from a qualified adviser familiar with your products and markets. See also the Terms and Conditions, which limit our liability.
