How it works

From your product data to a filing-ready verdict.

There is nothing to configure. A submission enters one of two ways, is normalised into a substance list, screened against 13 EU lists, verdicted, reported and logged, with a person in the loop for the highest-risk results.

The pipeline

From Safety Data Sheet to filing-ready verdict: six stages, minutes end to end.

Watch a submission travel the pipeline. Each stage applies a specific compliance rule: extraction integrity, list matching, concentration limits, Annex XVII conditions, and an engineer review before anything high-risk is released.

One normalised submission

Upload a Safety Data Sheet, or declare substances by name, CAS, EC and concentration. Multi-part documents are accepted.

Structured substance rows

Every composition table is read across all parts of the document and returned as rows with name, CAS, EC and concentration.

ControlRow count reconciled against the table; scanned pages are flagged, never guessed.

Matches per list

Each substance is matched by CAS against the 13 EU lists: REACH SVHC, Annex XIV, Annex XVII, RoHS, POPs, PFAS, Battery and the rest.

ControlKnowledge base is versioned and dated; a missing EC never blocks the match.

Evaluate

In
Matches and concentrations
Out
Per-substance findings

Concentration thresholds, group sum-rules for phthalates and PFAS, Annex XVII conditions by article category, and applicable exemptions.

ControlRanges screen at the upper bound; blank concentrations are flagged, not treated as zero.

RED, AMBER or GREEN

Findings aggregate to one product verdict with Article 33 text, phase-out dates, safer alternatives and a CSV of every substance.

The verdict model

Four outcomes, always paired with the word.

Colour is never the only signal. Every verdict carries its label, its reason and the list entry it rests on.

GREEN

No listed substance at or above its threshold. Nothing to declare; keep the report for your records and re-screen on the next update.

AMBER

A duty applies but the product can stay on the market: typically an SVHC at ≥ 0.1 % (Article 33 communication) or a substance near a limit. Actions are listed.

RED

A restricted or authorisation-only substance is over its limit (Annex XVII, Annex XIV, RoHS, POPs). Held for expert review before release, with substitution options.

FLAG

The data cannot support a verdict: a missing concentration, a scanned PDF, an incomplete extraction. Verachek stops and tells you what is needed rather than guessing.

What's in a report

Anatomy of a Verachek report.

SectionWhat it tells you
Verdict & calloutOverall RED / AMBER / GREEN with the one-line reason and the next action.
Composition & identificationEvery substance with name, CAS, EC and concentration exactly as received, N/A where the source omits data.
Regulatory screening resultsPer list: the entry matched, the limit, and whether the concentration is over or within it. Sum-rules and derogations shown where applied.
Article 33 declarationAuto-generated when an SVHC is present at ≥ 0.1 % w/w, ready to pass down the supply chain.
Hits by listThe bar chart you see in the demo: how many substances hit each list.
Exposure & enforcementOccupational exposure limits and real-world enforcement cross-references for the substances found.
Derogations & phase-out timelineCategory exemptions that apply, and dated authorisation / sunset dates so you can plan substitution.
Safer alternativesCurated substitution options per flagged substance, with regrettable-substitution checks.
Data-quality notesExtraction completeness, CAS mismatches, missing values, so you know how much to trust the result.
ExportsShareable link, PDF, and a clean CSV of every substance and its status.

This article contains formaldehyde (CAS 84-61-7, EC 201-545-9), a substance on the REACH Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern, at a concentration above 0.1 % w/w.

Sufficient information to allow safe use: avoid skin contact with the uncured product; wear protective gloves; refer to the Safety Data Sheet, sections 7 and 8.

Knowledge base: Candidate List as of 4 February 2026 (253 entries). Verachek · automated regulatory screening · does not constitute legal advice.

The Article 33 text is a starting point. Under REACH the duty-holder must supply the recipient with sufficient information to allow safe use, adapt the safe-use line to your product.

Guards

The guards that make the verdict worth filing.

Truthful identifiers

Substances are reported exactly as received. A missing identifier is shown as missing, never invented or borrowed.

Conservative on concentrations

Concentrations are read in the formats suppliers actually use and assessed conservatively. A blank value is flagged, never assumed to be zero.

No false GREEN

If a document cannot be read completely and reliably, the result is a FLAG with the reason, never a clean verdict.

Engineer review on RED

Every RED verdict is approved or corrected by a compliance engineer before release. Professional and Business plans get priority turnaround.
