When the question is bigger than one product, ask the engineer behind the engine.
Verachek screens a product in minutes. Some work needs a person with the data in front of them: a supplier declaration campaign that came back half-complete, a bill of materials with twelve thousand parts, a PFAS inventory before the restriction lands, or a material that has to be replaced by next quarter. That is the advisory side of Verachek, delivered by a practising materials and product-compliance engineer.
| Supplier data | Declarations of conformity, material declarations, IMDS or FMD extracts, supplier questionnaires |
| Component data | Part lists with material and mass, datasheets, homogeneous-material breakdowns |
| Bills of materials | Multi-level BoMs from ERP or PLM exports, any size |
| Bills of substances | Full material disclosures with CAS and concentration per part |
| Documents | SDS libraries, test reports, technical files, legacy spreadsheets |
Seven ways we work with your data.
Every engagement produces a written assessment you can file, act on and show an auditor. Scope is agreed in writing before work starts.
Bulk BoM and BoS screening
Thousands of parts screened against all 13 EU lists in one run, with per-part verdicts, roll-up per product, and a prioritised list of what to fix first. Candidate List substances are judged per article, so you see exactly which parts trigger Article 33 and SCIP, each with a prepared SCIP data sheet. Delivered as a report plus a clean dataset you can load back into your ERP or PLM.
Supplier data review
We read what your suppliers actually sent: declarations, material data, questionnaires. You get a gap analysis (what is missing, ambiguous or contradictory), a risk-ranked chase list, and template requests written in the language suppliers respond to.
PFAS inventory and restriction readiness
Identification of PFAS across your portfolio by structure group, exposure to the universal restriction proposal and existing entries, and a phased substitution plan aligned to the expected timeline.
Materials and chemical sourcing
Finding a compliant alternative for a restricted or soon-to-be-restricted material, screening candidate suppliers' data before you commit, and checking that the substitute is not a regrettable one.
Article 33, SCIP and dossier packaging
Article 33 communications for every affected article, SCIP notification datasets prepared for submission, and a due-diligence dossier that shows a regulator how you reached each conclusion.
Regulatory monitoring retainer
A standing arrangement: your product data stays under watch, every Candidate List, Annex XVII, RoHS, POPs and Battery update is assessed against it, and you receive a written impact note with actions within five working days of each change.
Training and process set-up
Half-day or full-day sessions for your quality, purchasing or product teams on REACH, RoHS, PFAS and SCIP obligations, plus a documented internal process so compliance does not depend on one person.
Not sure which applies?
Describe the data and the deadline in the request form. We reply within two working days with a scoped proposal, or a straight answer if a Verachek screening already covers it.
Quoted per job, fixed before work starts.
Every bill of materials is different, so every bulk job gets its own written quote within two working days of receiving your file.
One setup fee per job
Covers mapping your file, the summary report and the cover note for your records.
A price per line that falls with volume
A line is one substance or material row. The larger the file, the lower the price per line, and parts screened for you in the last 12 months cost less.
Optional supplier chasing
Where data is missing, we can request it from your suppliers for a fixed fee per supplier, agreed in the quote.
Brief, scope, assess, deliver.
Brief
You submit the request form with a description of the data, its volume and your deadline. Files can be attached now or after an NDA.
Scope
Within two working days you receive a written scope: deliverables, method, timeline, fixed price or day-rate estimate, and what we need from you.
Assess
Data is normalised, screened through the Verachek engine where it fits, and reviewed by hand where it does not. You get interim findings on anything urgent.
Deliver
A written assessment, the cleaned dataset, and a working session to walk through the actions. Findings are versioned against the knowledge base used.
Engagement models
- Fixed-scope assessment. One dataset, one deliverable, one price agreed up front. Most bulk screenings and supplier reviews run this way.
- Day rate. For open-ended work such as sourcing support or audit preparation.
- Monthly retainer. Monitoring, re-assessment on every regulatory change, and a set number of advisory hours.
What you can expect
- A named engineer, not a ticket queue
- NDA before any file leaves your systems, on request
- EU data handling under our DPA
- Findings that cite the list entry and knowledge-base version they rest on
- Clear statement of what was and was not in scope
Describe the data. We scope the work.
The more specific the volume and deadline, the faster the quote. Attach a sample if you can; a full dataset can follow after the NDA.
A materials and product-compliance engineer, in practice.
Advisory work is done by Verachek's founder: a materials and product-compliance engineer applying REACH, PFAS, RoHS, SCIP, POPs, ODS, F-gas and WEEE obligations daily in industrial manufacturing, with an R&D materials background and an M.Sc. in Materials Science and Engineering. Larger engagements draw on a small network of specialist partners under the same NDA and quality process.
What advisory is, and is not.
It is technical and regulatory assessment of your data. It is not laboratory testing, legal advice, or representation before an authority; where those are needed we say so and can point you to the right specialist. See the disclaimer.
Advisory hours are discounted on Professional and Business plans.
Mention your plan in the brief. Business customers can also route requests through their portal workspace.
