Regulations

The 13 EU lists Verachek screens.

Every submission is checked against all of them, by CAS number, using a versioned knowledge base with a visible "as of" date. Here is what each list covers and how Verachek applies it.

The lists, one by one

REACH SVHC Candidate List

REACH
Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 · Art. 59 · 253 entries as of 4 Feb 2026

Substances of Very High Concern identified for eventual authorisation: CMRs, PBT/vPvB and equivalent-concern substances. Updated roughly twice a year.

How Verachek screens itFlags any entry at ≥ 0.1 % w/w and generates the Article 33 communication; notes the SCIP notification duty. AMBER by default.

REACH Annex XIV: Authorisation List

REACH
Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 · Annex XIV · sunset & latest-application dates

SVHCs that may not be placed on the market or used after their sunset date without an authorisation.

How Verachek screens itRED when present above threshold; the phase-out calendar shows the sunset date and latest application date for planning substitution.

REACH Annex XVII: Restrictions

REACH
Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 · Annex XVII · per-entry conditions

Conditions or bans on the manufacture, placing on the market or use of specific substances, often by article category (toys, textiles, consumer goods).

How Verachek screens itApplies the entry's concentration limit and scope; runs group sum-rules (e.g. the four phthalates in entry 51) and category-specific derogations.

RoHS Annex II

Electronics
Directive 2011/65/EU · 10 restricted substances · 0.1 % (0.01 % cadmium)

Lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE and four phthalates in electrical and electronic equipment, measured in homogeneous materials.

How Verachek screens itChecks each concentration against the RoHS limit and surfaces Annex III / IV exemptions where the product category qualifies.

Battery Regulation

Batteries
Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 · Annex I · mercury, cadmium, lead limits

Substance restrictions for all battery categories, alongside labelling, due-diligence and the coming battery passport.

How Verachek screens itApplies the Annex I limits to declared or extracted battery compositions and flags restriction dates.

POPs Regulation

POPs
Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 · Annex I · unintentional-trace-contaminant limits

The EU implementation of the Stockholm Convention: persistent organic pollutants such as PFOA, PFHxS, decaBDE and SCCPs, with very low limits.

How Verachek screens itRED above the Annex I limit, including the UTC thresholds; PFAS entries also feed the PFAS sum-rule.

PFAS: restrictions & the universal proposal

PFAS
REACH Annex XVII entries + Annex XV universal restriction · RAC opinion & SEAC draft 26 Mar 2026

Existing restrictions on PFOA, PFHxS and C9–C14 PFCAs, plus the proposed restriction of more than 10,000 PFAS, now in its decisive phase.

How Verachek screens itIdentifies PFAS by structure-group membership, applies current limits, and marks substances in scope of the proposal so you can plan ahead.

CLP Annex VI: Harmonised classification

CLP
Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 · Annex VI Table 3

Legally binding hazard classifications (carcinogen, mutagen, reprotoxic, sensitiser…) that drive labelling and many downstream restrictions.

How Verachek screens itReports harmonised hazard classes for each substance and uses CMR 1A/1B status to anticipate Annex XVII entries 28–30.

Biocidal Products Regulation

BPR
Regulation (EU) 528/2012 · Art. 95 list · treated articles

Active substances used in biocidal products and treated articles; only approved substances from approved suppliers may be used.

How Verachek screens itFlags biocidal actives in a composition and notes treated-article labelling obligations.

F-Gas Regulation

F-Gas
Regulation (EU) 2024/573 · phase-down & placing-on-market bans

Fluorinated greenhouse gases (HFCs, PFCs, SF₆) in refrigeration, foams, aerosols and electrical switchgear.

How Verachek screens itIdentifies F-gases and the GWP-based bans that apply to the product category and date.

Ozone-Depleting Substances

ODS
Regulation (EU) 2024/590 · Annex I controlled substances

CFCs, HCFCs, halons and other controlled substances under the Montreal Protocol.

How Verachek screens itRED for controlled substances outside the narrow exempted uses.

Critical Raw Materials

CRM
Regulation (EU) 2024/1252 · Annex I & II

Not a restriction: the EU's strategic and critical raw-materials lists, relevant to supply-risk reporting and the Digital Product Passport.

How Verachek screens itMarks CRM content for information and reporting; no verdict impact.

CoRAP: Substance evaluation

Watch-list
Community Rolling Action Plan · 3-year rolling

Substances scheduled for evaluation by Member States because of a suspected risk, an early signal of future SVHC or restriction action.

How Verachek screens itInformation flag only: "on CoRAP, evaluation by [state], [year]" so you can plan substitution before a duty arrives.

Scope. Verachek's launch scope is the EU/EEA. UK REACH, US TSCA and other jurisdictions are on the roadmap and are not implied by any verdict. Verachek is an automated screening aid, not legal advice, see the disclaimer.
